Like I said in my later post, the last 2 places I've worked never utilized 7zip at all (well I had the standalone on my computer to do a few things.but no one else had it).

zip file is the go-to for most things I've encountered (like submitting documents and such).since some of the compression formats don't exactly play well with antivirus tools.
