I gave them a rating of 2 for a couple of reasons only: 1) quick service 2) excellent crab rangoons and 3) very large portion. We were made to feel like we were cheating them in some way. The waitress apologized, but not the owners. My sister said "We will pay for the rangoons, but not the pork." They kind of huffed off and charged us only for the rangoons. and basically offered for us to pay half price. They did not offer to replace the meal with something else. We called the owner over, and he said he had served pork all day and there were no complaints. She looked at me and said that she thought the same thing. I looked at my sister, and I said "I can't eat any more of this." The portion was more than generous, too. It was about lukewarm when it was served. I actually tasted like it had been frozen for years and had freezer burn.
The pork was gristley and didn't taste right. After my 2nd or 3rd bite, I couldn't eat any more of it. For our main meal, we both ordered Mu Shu Pork as that is one of the menu items that we have always liked there in the past. I love their sweet and sour sauce that comes with the rangoons. We ordered the Crab Rangoons for an appetizer, and they were excellent (as usual). I haven't eaten inside the restaurant in probably 3-4 years, so I don't think that they recognized me as a frequent customer. Generally, we get takeouts, and my son usually picked up our food. I have been a patron of the establishment for over 25 years. My sister and I went to Egg Roll House for dinner tonight.
